I've loved writing stories for as long as I can remember.
Story can take you anywhere, let you be anybody & help you beat all the odds. It can give you a glimpse into a world you never knew before & fill you with awe & wonder.
For many years I've written short stories, but over the last few years I've taken the plunge to try my hand at at writing a novel.
Only one problem.
I couldn't finish it, because I was already starting to write the next. Now I've got about four novels in the making, full of characters begging me to finish their adventures & wondering what lays on the next page's of their stories.
Let me tell you, it's a lot of hard work. I really admire anyone who can be disciplined & get it done. Needless to say, I'm learning a lot about discipline right now.
At the moment I am working on, The Rose of Admirias, set in the speculative genre & loosely inspired by the story of Beauty & the Beast.
“I write, not for children, but for the child-like, whether they be of five, or fifty, or seventy-five.”
The Independent Initiative
The truly independent source for all things filmmaking.
I have the privilege of writing and editing for this site, sharing and talking about what I love about film, advice about how to create behind and in front of the camera. I also get to share about what I love and dislike about the movies I watch.
Glimpses of Light
During 2015, the International Year of Light, twenty-one authors from Australia & the United States have come together to explore the theme of 'glimpses of light'—finding light in dark places—through short stories, poems, flash fiction & creative non-fiction.
My contribution, The Last Blood Moon, is a dystopian speculative short story. Merillya is on the verge of adulthood. She's been given a unique gift that could change the world, but is Society ready to change? Is she?
Christian Today - PSI
Every month, I write a short comment article for Press Service International (PSI) which then gets published on Christian Today, an Australian online magazine. I began writing for them at the beginning of 2015. In August of the same year, I was awarded the Basil Sellers International Outstanding Award for my articles.
One article, Finding Life Through Story, was republished in Encounter magazine. The theme of the article was to remember to stop & enjoy the story unfolding around us.
The Dreamcatcher's Journal
Every entry you read is a dream I’ve caught & stored here for the masses. Some were trickier to catch, but all worth the effort.
Each dream is unique & full of creative characters.
It's my subconscious' take on everything from Batman & Robin, to living on other planets, experiencing life or death situations & always trying to finish the adventure before the familiar buzz of an alarm calls me away.
Random Thoughts & Dreams
Random thoughts & dreams flutter around me on a daily basis. Sometimes I let them go, but sometimes those random moments turn into life lessons I want to share.
Other times, I write articles for an online magazine, Christian Today, & republish them here.
Still other times, I post a little melody of what's happening in my world as an author.
