The Initiative is an independent film company located in Brisbane, Australia & was established in 2008 by four passionate filmmakers.

The Umbrella is our first feature film. The story follows a young man, Jared, who hides from pain with the use of an imaginary umbrella. When his umbrella becomes a danger to himself, will he let go?

​It is now available on iTunes in Australia/New Zealand & on Flix Premiere in the US/UK. 

Our second feature film, Out Of The Woods, is currently in Post Production - we're in the middle of re-shoots, colouring, sound sweetening, composing & more.
