The Initiative was an independent film company located in Brisbane, Australia & was established in 2008 by four passionate filmmakers.

The Umbrella was our first feature film. The story follows a young man, Jared, who hides from pain with the use of an imaginary umbrella. When his umbrella becomes a danger to himself, will he let go?

​It was available on iTunes in Australia/New Zealand & on Flix Premiere in the US/UK, and until recently was also available on Amazon Prime world-wide. 

Our second feature film, Out Of The Woods, has been in Post Production since the pandemic.
